OLIVE: A NEW MATERIAL IS BORN FROM THE KERNELS OF OLIVES

THE VEGAN, CRUELTY FREE AND SUSTAINABLE ALTERNATIVE THAT COMES FROM OLIVE WASTE

We are always looking for sustainable, non-impacting, vegan and cruelty free materials. After Ribera, a material obtained from the waste of oranges, we have chosen another all-Italian typicality to give life to a new and high-performance material for Arkimedia straps.

AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET, A PRECIOUS RESOURCE FOR HIGH QUALITY FABRICS

OLIVE is produced from the pits of Italian olives obtained from the production of EVO oil, of which Italy is a major producer. A totally vegan fabric, made with recycled materials, respectful of the environment and with a certified supply chain that comes from a symbolic product of our country, exported and known all over the world.

THE PROCESSING

After the cold pressing that takes place for the production of oil, a large amount of waste (the kernels) accumulates in the mill, which is collected from Central and Southern Italy and then shredded.

After this process, the granules obtained are ground into a powder which is mixed with PU Bio (plant based polyurethane) to obtain the finished product.

The pits used finds new life in the fabrics that are produced and which are suitable not only for straps but also for other product categories such as sneakers, clothing, guaranteeing traceability of the materials used.
